These speed machines are powered by supercharged 11,000hp engines + can complete the 1000ft race in under 4 seconds. For comparison, F1 cars make only ~1,000hp. With this kind of behemoth performance, Top Fuel engines are only capable of peak performance for roughly 10 seconds before they risk an explosive demise. Even in these short bursts, mechanics must completely rebuild many engine components between each race. Jasmine Salinas, who won the Gatornationals earlier this season, won her second career title in the Pep Boys/Scrappers Racing entry, defeating third-generation alcohol racer Madison Payne in the Top Alcohol Dragster final round, 5.25 to 5.26.
